The purpose of the Grants Management Advisory Committee
is to direct district efforts toward becoming active
and competitive in seeking grants at a local, state,
and national level to support school improvement efforts.
To avoid missing a grant deadline:
Be familiar with the grant approval process. Click
Grant Process Forms and
Worksheets or e-mail Marilyn Williams for a copy of JSD's
Project Planning and
Proposal Writing Tool Kit.
Call (567-8378) or e-mail Marilyn Williams as soon as
you know you want to apply for a grant requiring Grants
Management Advisory Committee Review so the review
and signature process can be completed in time to
meet the submission deadline.
Grants Management Advisory Committee Review usually
requires that grant
proposals be submitted to the Grants Office 7 days
prior to the official deadline.
What
to Do if Your School Receives a Grant:
If teachers or your school applies for and receives
a grant that will serve JSD students, please complete
the "School Grant Award Sheet" (Click
Grant Process Forms and Worksheets) and submit
it to the Grants Office, so the grant can be acknowledged
on the Grants web page and the information can be
included as part of the grant summary submitted to
the JSD Board of
Education.
