What’s happening in JSD mathematics?

In order for all students to succeed, we’re asking and answering these questions:

  1. What do we want students to know and be able to do?
  2. How will we know if they know it?
  3. What will we do if they don't?
  4. What will we do if they do?

We’re addressing these questions in every secondary school and classroom. Here’s how:

  • Common scope and sequences to ensure access to the core for all students.
  • Common student learning targets to be used by teachers, students, and parents to communicate critical content and to monitor student learning and mastery of the core.
  • Common benchmark assessments and examination of assessment data to evaluate student learning and mastery of the core, provide intervention, and inform instructional practice.
