What’s happening in JSD mathematics?
In order for all students to succeed, we’re asking and answering these questions:
- What do we want students to know and be able to do?
- How will we know if they know it?
- What will we do if they don't?
- What will we do if they do?
We’re addressing these questions in every secondary school and classroom. Here’s how:
- Common scope and sequences to ensure access to the core for all students.
- Common student learning targets to be used by teachers, students, and parents to communicate critical content and to monitor student learning and mastery of the core.
- Common benchmark assessments and examination of assessment data to evaluate student learning and mastery of the core, provide intervention, and inform instructional practice.
